From time to time The Community Advantage initiates and coordinates specific projects that may be of value to our client groups. For example, the development of a clinical tool differentiating the cause of feeding issues in children with disabilities, particularly those with complex needs whose feeding issues have multiple causes.
The Profiling Feeding Disorders project is aimed at developing a clinical profiling tool that assists clinicians to understand the underlying issues contributing to a child’s feeding disorder. The tool will assist community feeding teams to further differentiate a child’s feeding disorder and implement effective management strategies, and will be of significant value for clinicians, children and families, and the wider community.
