The Complete Advantage offers a range of psychological services including assessment and diagnosis, therapy and training in a wide variety of educational and developmental issues experienced by children.
Our Psychology team is able to assess and diagnose a range of concerns including Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and other mental health issues, as well as conduct comprehensive psychometric / cognitive assessments. Our psychologists use a range of assessment tools such as structured interviews, observations in multiple contexts and formal assessment measures, obtaining as much information as possible about your child to best identify areas for change and growth. The interventions offered are based on best practice evidence based research and guidelines and we are able to work directly with other therapists.
Support for parents is also offered in the form of counselling or therapy and training in specific management strategies. Parental involvement in the child's intervention is always encouraged to enable greater generalisation and maintenance of new skills and behaviours.
Individual and group therapy options, home and school visits are available in some suburbs.
Our psychologists have designed a range of training programs for parents, teachers, education assistants, early childhood and childcare staff. These workshops and courses are based on the extensive practical experience of our Psychologist and best practice.
